Spencer Speed is a dedicated trial attorney with a focus on defective products, medical malpractice, and other personal injury claims. He has represented individuals and families who have been injured by defective medical devices and medical malpractice, including birth injures, nursing home abuse, misdiagnosis, surgical and anesthesia errors, and wrongful death cases, among others. Mr. Speed also handles complex personal injury cases, including industrial fires, car/truck accidents, and dog bites. Always driven to achieve justice for his clients, Mr. Speed is a zealous advocate for holding individuals and large companies liable for their reckless conduct and negligent practices.
Mr. Speed grew up in Dallas, Texas. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from The University of North Texas and his law degree from South Texas College of Law. While in law school, Mr. Speed was a member of the College’s nationally recognized elite trial advocacy program, where he earned numerous awards in courtroom competitions, including the Best Attorney Advocate Award at the American Association for Justice Trial Competition. After graduating from law school, Mr. Speed was invited to join South Texas College of Law as a mock trial coach and adjunct professor. He currently coaches mock trial advocacy teams that compete in national tournaments.
Mr. Speed joined the team at Houssiere Durant & Houssiere, LLP as a student associate in 2017, during his final year of law school. He joined the firm full-time upon earning his law degree in 2018.
In his spare time, Spencer enjoys spending time with his wife, golfing, and running. Spencer’s greatest joy is the feeling of obtaining life-changing results for his clients.
