In my legal practice I have endeavored to advance the cause of justice and human welfare for those who cannot help themselves and are damaged in person and property, by improper use of science; who must therefore seek redress at law.

Charles “Chip” Houssiere, licensed to practice law in both Texas and Colorado, with multifaceted interests and hands-on experience in science and law. During his legal career, he has successfully handled a multitude of scientific law cases, from environmental and product liability to health care and aviation litigation.

Chip is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Board Eligible in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Civil Specialization, and Civil Trial Advocacy by National Board of Trial Advocacy. In addition to his legal practice, he is a private airplane pilot and active member and leader of national engineering societies and chemical societies in addition to state and national legal organizations.

I believe the practice of law is the bedrock of our country. My grandfather was a lawyer as were all three of his sons, including my father. The legacy my family gave me forms the foundation upon which I’ve practiced law for 25 years. I have been blessed and thrilled to represent more than 1,500 clients, who have suffered personal injuries, most against large national companies. This David and Goliath story is replayed over and over in my practice, I strongly believe that a committed attorney can bring an injured individual justice under our great American legal system.

Linda Durant Houssiere, HD&H’s managing partner, has been recognized by her peers as a “Top Lawyer for the People.” A mediator with advanced mediation training, she is known in the legal profession as “the negotiator,” earning a reputation for being fair and able to see the big picture in complex cases. Most often, you can find Linda at the helm of mass tort cases for the firm.

Linda’s large international clientele hails from South America, Canada, Australia, Guam, Thailand and Mexico. Born in Miami, she was admitted to the Bar in the State of Texas in 1985 and has been licensed with the United States Supreme Court.

As a lawyer for the people, not corporations, I have the unique opportunity to help protect individual rights and the court system I believe in so strongly. I became a plaintiff lawyer for this reason, and I cannot think of a more gratifying profession.

Monica Vaughan is a native Texan born in Odessa. She was licensed to practice law in Texas in 1995 and subsequently admitted to try individual cases in many other states during her work with HD&H, including Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Missouri, Nevada and Utah.

Randal Kauffman, born in Denver, Colorado, was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1986. Known as the firm’s scholar, he is a noted author whose articles have been published in the Texas Bar Journal. For legal briefs and appellate work, he is the firms “go to man”.

My law practice reminds me every day that our life stories truly are melodies that combine to form a grand concert. My years of vocal performance, parenting and PTO have helped me to practice law with dedication, inspiration and determination. In my position at HD&H, I act as the voice of my clients. I find that to be a true privilege.

Julie Mayes Hamrick brings a unique perspective to HD&H, previously serving as counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants, along with a strong desire to help clients. Born in Livingston, Texas, and admitted to the Texas Bar in 1991, she clerked for the firm while a student at Rice University. Julie’s areas of legal expertise include medical device, personal injury and medical malpractice litigation.

As a lawyer, I look forward to zealously pursuing my passion for advocacy and the trial system by speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves and by bringing justice to victims and families who have been injured by others’ careless and negligent conduct.

Neeley Morgan is licensed to practice law in Texas and proudly joined Houssiere Durant & Houssiere, LLP in 2009. Her desire to become a plaintiff’s lawyer was driven by her strong belief in the legal system to protect the individual rights of every person.

As a trial lawyer, I believe my duty is to uphold and protect the principles of justice on the most fundamental level. I find no greater motivation than taking on the responsibility of being the voice for those individual’s whom often times speak in too faint a voice to be heard.

Sean Brennan is licensed to practice law in Texas and proudly joined Houssiere Durant & Houssiere, LLP in January, 2010.  He developed his strong desire to become a trial lawyer while clerking under the Honorable Joseph “Tad” Halbach in the 333rd District Court of Harris County.
