Managing Partner

I believe the practice of law is the bedrock of our country. My grandfather was a lawyer as were all three of his sons, including my father. The legacy my family gave me forms the foundation upon which I’ve practiced law for 25 years. I have been blessed and thrilled to represent more than 1,500 clients, who have suffered personal injuries, most against large national companies. This David and Goliath story is replayed over and over in my practice, I strongly believe that a committed attorney can bring an injured individual justice under our great American legal system.

Linda HoussiereLinda Durant Houssiere, HD&H’s managing partner, has been recognized by her peers as a “Top Lawyer for the People.” A mediator with advanced mediation training, she is known in the legal profession as “the negotiator,” earning a reputation for being fair and able to see the big picture in complex cases. "Not so very long ago, I found myself in the need of legal counsel for a medical malpractice case.  After I had spoken with two other attorneys, both turned the case down, I was given the name of Mr. Charles Houssiere of The Houssiere, Durant & Houssiere Law Firm.  The appointment was made to meet with Mr. Houssiere and to my surprise he was glad to take on my case.  You see, most of the evidence to prove my case was destroyed by the doctors.  But with the efforts of this team, we did make a case and won.  I was at the office of Mr. Houssiere on several occasions and I found the complete staff there to be pleasant and friendly to me at all times.  When a person is going through something like this, it is important to have a team on your side that is supportive and you know they are all working for the benefit of winning your case.  I hope and pray something like this does not ever happen to me or any of my family or friends, but if it does there would be doubt that Mr. Charles Houssiere will be the attorney used."
