Julie Mayes Hamrick was born in Livingston, Texas. She was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1991.

Julie’s return to Houssiere, Durant & Houssiere, where she clerked while a student at Rice University, was both sentimental and logical. She has practiced in many of the firm’s areas of legal expertise, and brings to HDH the unique perspective of having previously served as counsel for both plaintiffs and defendants.

She is an avid rock and roll enthusiast, and nurtures her musical background assisting with special musical events and serving as a singer for a popular Houston rock band. She is the proud mother of one son and one daughter, and is very active in supporting their educational and artistic endeavors.
